Optimise Activities with Your “Golden Hours”

Knowing what needs to be fulfilled is the hardest part in today’s world when you have so many distractions. However, today I want to discuss the question of what shall I do and when the task has to be done.

The main component that requires consideration while assessing a task is: when are the “Golden Hours” of the task?

What are the “Golden Hours?”

“Golden Hours:” The time during the day when our biological concentration rate is the highest.

I will share with you a simple exercise:

First step:

Write the five most important tasks that need to be done during this week:

Task 1: Update CRM

Task 2: Research new potential clients

Task 3: Practice my sales skills

Task 4: Read sales management book

Task 5: Nurture current clients

Second step:

Evaluate your daily Golden Hours in terms of your highest concentration rate as an example: 9 am – 11 am

Third step:

Rank from 1 to 5 (1 low and 5 high) the tasks which require the most concentration rate during the day.

Fourth step:

When you plan your week – allocate tasks that require the highest concentration in the Golden Hours.

In the example below, you will try to finish the tasks between 9 am – 11 am in this order.

You have overall 2 hours per day, 5 days a week, and overall 10 hours

But you already know that during this time 2 hours will go to meetings, which leaves you with 8 hours*60 minutes= 480 minutes

According to this example, you can: practice my sales skills, research new potential clients, and dedicate 30 minutes to reading the sales management book.

The main takeaway from this exercise is to become more mindful when to do a specific task. The result will be an increase in your productivity.
