Is This the Equation to Find Love?

A few years ago, I was honoured to run two workshops as part of blind association activity.

When I run workshops, I usually pick someone from the audience to build the framework.

The first step in building the method is to choose your focus area.

When I asked the participants to choose their focus area, 50% said they would like to build a dating model.

I was a bit surprised as I had never thought about the implications of this dating method; however, I thought it was worth a try.

You can see below how it worked in reality.

As you can see, we started with the vision, which answered why we wanted to do this activity.

Vision:

Empowering relationship

The third step was to define our goals around this area for the long term (one year as an example, and the short-term is one month).

Long Term Mission:

Form a relationship with someone I would be happy to continue strengthening by 06/10/2023.

Short Term Mission:

10 dates by 05/11/2022.

The fourth step was to break down the different activities with the help of the Weekly Gold Model plan, as can be seen below:

We start with routines – what are the repetitive tasks that need to be taken to achieve the goals we defined on the top? (You can find some examples of routines in the picture below).

One of the most important features of the model is to rank your weekly tasks between 1 to 5.

1 means that the correlation between the tasks and your goals is very low, and 5 means that the correlation is very high.

As can be seen from the example, I took a few dating apps and the differentiation in the rank is that, as far as I am aware, Tinder is more for casual dating (therefore, the correlation to the long-term mission is low, and the task rank is 2) while Okcupid aims to find your life partner (in that case the task rank is 4).

Then we go through the meeting section – what are the currently planned dates for this week?

The Gold and Bronze sections should help us prioritize our important projects (Gold sections rank 3-5) and less important projects in connection with finding a partner (Bronze rank 1-2).

As seen below, we broke down some ideas that will help us meet our potential life partner.)

I will be keen to know if you have tried some of the suggestions here.

Let me know how it went for you.
